I have tutored students in French before, helping them with their homework, tests, & essays.
I have also been an English Languave assistant in schools in both Lyon and Paris, France.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is important that I see where students are in their level of understanding in French. It is important to see where they feel comfortable and what their weak points are. It is also really important for me to discover how each student learns best, since everyone learns differently.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in the French Language.
I have experience as a tutor in both French and English.
I have been an English Languabe Assistance three times in France.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoyed working at a pre-school for two academic years in Paris. I had a lot of fun at my job getting creative and watching students grow at different paces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that you feel comfortable with the person you hire. Make sure your tutor is a person of integrity and has your best interest in mind. Your tutor should take time to understand your strengths and weaknesses, and to understand how you learn best.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask about your potential tutor's past experiences and how they plan to help you.
Explain your level of French & present the school material you have, & ask your tutor if they will be able to help you with the material.
