I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in music performance, and I've been teaching for decades. I have also played for many television shows and movies, such as Inside/Out, Wall-e, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory, America's Got Talent, Lost, and Family Guy, to name a few. I've recorded and performed with many groups and stars, including Guns & Roses, Aerosmith, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, Andrea Bocelli, Mannheim Steamroller, the Pacific Symphony, and Laguna Pagaent of the Masters Orchestra, so I have lots of experience to bring to every level of teaching. Hello! My name is Jacob, and I have been a violinist for 20 years. I also play the cello (a little bit), Piano (a little bit), and Viola. I intend to give students the same opportunity to excel at music that I was given by my teacher when I started taking violin lessons at 7 years old. I will personalize the curriculum for each student based on their individual needs. The particular book series that I use is the Suzuki method. This is because my violin teacher used it to teach me, and because Suzuki has instructions with pictures on how to hold the bow, stand properly, and hold the instrument with correct form.
