FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My teaching is focused on RESULTS.  I incorporate real experience in my teaching.  We work at your pace and each class you will see yourself surpassing goals.   I come from an theater and dance background, and so many people are missing the physical aspect of acting, or speaking, and even dance.  I will teach you how to be more comfortable in your own skin, and how to use that new found ease in your acting, speaking, or any type of performance work. The classical training vocal training techniques I use to teach are simple, effective, and fun.  I am also a huge believer of mental and spiritual growth.  Stay motivated and dedicated to your career!  I look forward to helping you achieve your dreams.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Take lessons from a WORKING PERFORMER. Denise has over 15 years experience in public speaking, acting, modeling and dance. Her full time job is WORKING IN THE BUSINESS. She will teach you what you REALLY need to know in order to succeed.

Denise has been teaching private lessons since 2008 and is currently available to teach lessons in Hollywood and online, except dance classes, which are taught at IDA Hollywood and the White Hall Arts Academy.

Denise is an award winning professional actress, and is also a hugely successful model. She started her own gogo dancing company in 2005, and has danced for events like EDC, and the World Olympics.

Denise has an extensive training background starting at a very young age in acting, singing, and dancing, and still trains today! In 2006 she received a degree in acting. As an expert in performing arts, Denise looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals.

Her teaching style is personal and catered to you, making sure you feel confident to go for your dreams! Lessons will encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, but always in a nurturing safe environment. Work on YOUR goals and get one on one training made for YOU!

How did you get started teaching?

I have learned so much knowledge over the years of working as an actress, model, and dancer.  I have learned valuable techniques for looking natural on camera and training your voice for powerful impact.  I am excited to pass this on to people who share the same passion for the work that I do.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have trained many business professionals, actors, and young people looking to break into the industry.  I have worked with people who simply want to gain confidence, and also people who are already working in their field and want to rise above to the top!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Look for someone who is up to date on the trends of the industry.  Are they teaching things they learned from when they worked many years ago?  How well do they know what is going on in the 'now'.  Would they be competitive if they were working at the same level as you?

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

What are their credentials and experience in the field of interest?

What is different about their teaching?

What do they do outside of teaching?

How are they going to help you TRULY achieve your goals?
