He has such a great teaching method. He knows how to make music accessible to all ages and all abilities and teach in a way that it makes sense to everyone. My 2 kids and myself took drum, piano, and bells from him and we all learned more than just reading music off the sheet, but how to create our own pieces, and jam freely with other people. I’ve had many music teachers in my life and he gave me a key to music that no other teacher had. Very patient and worked very well with my autistic child who needed a slow and gentle hand. I highly recommend Rich!

We have been working with Chris for the past 7 years. We started with him and our daughter when she was 5-years-old. Chris is an outstanding teacher, especially with children. He is patient, encouraging and very knowledgeable about effective methods for teaching piano to children.
We have continued to work with Chris all these years because he is very flexible not only with his time, but also with the curriculum. We have focused most of our daughter's training in classical piano (Beethoven, Mozart, Bach), but more recently asked for pop (Pink, Ed Sheeran) and jazz-blues (Herbie Handcock, 12-bar form) training as well; which he is fully capable of teaching effectively.
Finally, in terms of experience, Chris offers many years of teaching as well as his personal experience as a professional musician into his curriculum -- introducing interesting and useful ideas that make his lessons fun and exciting.

Dan is an amazing teacher and all around awesome guy. I started with Dan about 3 years ago thinking that there is no way I could learn how to play the electric guitar at the age of 40?! I'm so happy to report that I now can play so many of the songs I love and consider myself an intermediate player. Dan is super patient and totally open to trying new songs, even some of my depressing Joy Division favorites. Oh and talk about patience....he also teaches my daughter and her friend acoustic guitar and has to teach them One Direction and Bieber songs. Now that's patience! Highly, highly recommended.

Within ONE lesson, Howard could pinpoint EXACTLY what my trouble areas are, and not only is he able to articulate a very clear plan for dealing with those, but he has also helped me with the burdening amount of pain that plagues my joints and muscles when I play something technically demanding! Furthermore, he is very focused, understanding, knowledgeable and gentle! After having many verbally.... difficult teachers whose teaching involved quite a bit of negative reinforcement, it is an absolute pleasure and an eye opening experience to have a patient, understanding teacher. Some people may learn quite well in that fashion, and there was a period of time when I actually believed, or rather was brainwashed into thinking that being verbally berated would serve as motivation. But now I see quite clearly that is not the case: I learn a lot better and I am more motivated to practice when I find it a pleasure to go to my piano lessons! Thank you, Howard for all your dedication, patience and knowledge!

I decided to take piano lessons in my senior citizen years after not having played since I was a child. Deborah's patience and encouragement during weekly lessons have given me great confidence. She guides me through each piece carefully focusing on techniques to help me improve. I also think her selection of music books and practice exercises are appropriate for my abilty. And , she gently challenges me with more difficult pieces as I become more comfortable and capable. I would highly recommend Deborah to anyone regardless of age who wants to learn how to play the piano .
