Within ONE lesson, Howard could pinpoint EXACTLY what my trouble areas are, and not only is he able to articulate a very clear plan for dealing with those, but he has also helped me with the burdening amount of pain that plagues my joints and muscles when I play something technically demanding! Furthermore, he is very focused, understanding, knowledgeable and gentle! After having many verbally.... difficult teachers whose teaching involved quite a bit of negative reinforcement, it is an absolute pleasure and an eye opening experience to have a patient, understanding teacher. Some people may learn quite well in that fashion, and there was a period of time when I actually believed, or rather was brainwashed into thinking that being verbally berated would serve as motivation. But now I see quite clearly that is not the case: I learn a lot better and I am more motivated to practice when I find it a pleasure to go to my piano lessons! Thank you, Howard for all your dedication, patience and knowledge!

I really liked how passionate he is about teaching. You could tell he really loves playing and teaching music. He is also very skilled in multiple instruments so he sometimes will play bass while I play the piece I just learned. That helped me understand how to play with a groove. I would choose Cullen over any shop guitar teacher any day.

I’ve been taking bass lessons with Jeff Brent for about 5–6 months and recently started guitar lessons with him about 2 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. Jeff is an incredible teacher—extremely talented, intelligent, and deeply knowledgeable about music. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach tabs or shortcuts; he dives into music theory and explains things in a way that makes it click. It feels like I’m learning the right way, with a strong foundation that will benefit me no matter what instrument I pick up. Jeff is also super flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to find a time each week that works. The fact that he teaches through Zoom is not only convenient, but it also makes his lessons affordable since I don’t have to drive anywhere. On top of that, he can teach just about any instrument ( except trumpet🤣), so I know I’ll always have room to grow under his instruction. He’s not only a gifted musician and teacher but also a genuinely nice and funny person, which makes lessons something I always look forward to. I honestly wouldn’t want to be taught by anyone else from now on. If you’re looking for a teacher who knows his craft inside and out, makes learning enjoyable, and adapts to your needs, I can’t recommend Jeff Brent enough. Dan is an amazing teacher and all around awesome guy. I started with Dan about 3 years ago thinking that there is no way I could learn how to play the electric guitar at the age of 40?! I'm so happy to report that I now can play so many of the songs I love and consider myself an intermediate player. Dan is super patient and totally open to trying new songs, even some of my depressing Joy Division favorites. Oh and talk about patience....he also teaches my daughter and her friend acoustic guitar and has to teach them One Direction and Bieber songs. Now that's patience! Highly, highly recommended.

Larry was my son's piano instructor for 2 years. He's a wonderful piano player and a very patient piano teacher. My son learned more from Larry in two years than he ever learned from his previous instructors at Alhambra School of Music on Main Street. Our only regret was we didn't find him sooner. Dec 14, 2020

I like doing lessons with Jeremey because he is positive and helpful during the lesson. If there was a mistake in an exercise we were working on he takes it step by step to make it better. In addition, when we fix mistakes it’s in a very uplifting way. His lessons are very helpful and positive!
