Daniel B. says, "Jacob is awesome! I have wanted to dive into jazz and this guy just gets it. He's super encouraging and actually makes it fun. I'm not just mindlessly pressing keys or following tutorials, I'm actually getting to learn about how music works. While our curriculum is focused on jazz, Jacob is never shy about teaching me the occasional pop tune that I want to learn. Most folks think you have to start playing an instrument as a youngster, but I'm an adult with a job and a family, and I can't believe how much I've progressed in such a short time. If you're looking for a piano teacher, this is the guy." Read more

Lisa C. says, "My son really enjoys meeting with his "Teacher Chris" weekly, not only for lessons, but also for sharing things that are going on in his life. Teacher Chris goes "above and beyond." I asked Chris to come up with a "Talent Show" act for my son and his two friends - where all three kids would play the same piano and change places. He spent hours creating a 3-part arrangement of the "Can Can." Then he spent hours and hours doing extra practice sessions with the kids. The final result was awesome!!! " Read more

Hello, Thank you for contacting me. I am a session bassist/guitarist who graduated B.M. from Berklee College of Music in Boston. I have been an instructor over 20 years, and have been taught bass, guitar and ukulele in multiple settings (private lessons, group classes in elementary schools, and college level band classes) My teaching style is very relaxed. I do not want to rush my students. I want to play tunes together, talk about how they practiced and what was difficult, answering questions until they make sense. Then I will give my students very specific homework to work on. I believe that if I ask them to work on something they do not...

Gracie H. says, "I’ve been taking bass lessons with Jeff Brent for about 5–6 months and recently started guitar lessons with him about 2 months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I’ve made. Jeff is an incredible teacher—extremely talented, intelligent, and deeply knowledgeable about music. What really sets him apart is that he doesn’t just teach tabs or shortcuts; he dives into music theory and explains things in a way that makes it click. It feels like I’m learning the right way, with a strong foundation that will benefit me no matter what instrument I pick up. Jeff is also super flexible with scheduling, which makes it easy to find a time each week that works. The fact that he teaches through Zoom is not only convenient, but it also makes his lessons affordable since I don’t have to drive anywhere. On top of that, he can teach just about any instrument ( except trumpet🤣), so I know I’ll always have room to grow under his instruction. He’s not only a gifted musician and teacher but also a genuinely nice and funny person, which makes lessons something I always look forward to. I honestly wouldn’t want to be taught by anyone else from now on. If you’re looking for a teacher who knows his craft inside and out, makes learning enjoyable, and adapts to your needs, I can’t recommend Jeff Brent enough. He also has a band called 7heSep787 check him out on youtube!" Read more

We have been working with Chris for the past 7 years. We started with him and our daughter when she was 5-years-old. Chris is an outstanding teacher, especially with children. He is patient, encouraging and very knowledgeable about effective methods for teaching piano to children. We have continued to work with Chris all these years because he is very flexible not only with his time, but also with the curriculum. We have focused most of our daughter's training in classical piano (Beethoven, Mozart, Bach), but more recently asked for pop (Pink, Ed Sheeran) and jazz-blues (Herbie Handcock, 12-bar form) training as well; which he is fully capable of teaching effectively. Finally, in terms of experience, Chris offers many years of teaching as well as his personal experience as a professional musician into his curriculum -- introducing interesting and useful ideas that make his lessons fun and exciting.

Jeff is an extremely talented, knowledgeable multi instrumentalist who also has the gift of being a patient and entertaining teacher.. in the time that I have spent with him, I have not come away from one session that has not, in varying degrees, improved my understanding of and playing ability on my instrument.

Todd's extensive knowledge and genuine passion for music make him an outstanding teacher! I really appreciate his ability to make piano lessons both enjoyable and effective. My son always came home from lessons excited to show me what he’d learned that day- which is really saying something! Todd's kind nature and patience creates a warm, welcoming learning environment that puts both kids (and parents!) at ease. If you're searching for a piano teacher who can inspire and educate your child, while keeping things fun and engaging, Todd is the perfect choice!
