Our staff are very patient, friendly and caring people. We like to raise the level of understanding of our students so they can solve the problems by themselves.
My service stands out because I dont EVER force my students to ever be excellent or proficient in what I'm teaching. I am SO patient and I always strive to help my students no matter what. I develop new ideas and lesson plans according to how comfortable they are with my lessons. I have been an educator for close to 6 years now, so I know and I understand the struggles my students have and I try my best to accomodate those struggles with simple easy sessions.

Working with kids for over 10 years, I have gained experience and confidence as an educator and mentor in a variety of settings. I have tutored privately, led after-school programs, taught in classrooms, counseled at sleepaway camps, and exercised behavior intervention with children experiencing learning, behavioral, and emotional disorders. These experiences have not only sharpened my skills as a teacher and a leader, they have also cultivated compassion and empathy in me that I desire to connect with my students on a deeper level. My service stands out because I practice mentorship and I am intentional about forming relationships based on t

As a nurse, writer, yoga instructor and Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor, I have a lot of experience in not only teaching but practicing what I teach.
I was very ill and yoga and Ayurveda and meditation saved my life! I teach each person their own yoga. Not the yoga you see on Instagram, but actual yoga taught to me by my guru and friend, Mark Whitwell.
I teach Hatha yoga, but also restorative and Yin Yoga as well as Yoga Nidra (guided meditation through your body) as well as Chakra meditations.
I do a complete intake on our first visit to make certain that I am aware of all of your needs and begin a plan especially designed for your

I have been tutoring at least part-time for 10 years and full-time for the last three years. I have experience working in many different subjects and deep experience working with reading comprehension, math, and test preparation. My full-time job for the past few years has been concentrating on ACT test prep with some work on high-school entrance exams like the ISEE and HSPT. I have been exposed to countless ACT and SAT tests and scored a 36 and a 2350, respectively, the last time I took the tests officially.
There are plenty of tutors out there who bring a lot of knowledge and experience, so what sets me apart? I think it's my ability t

Here at Learning Period we're all about 1) personalization and 2) efficiency. Our tutors will jump in, put your child at ease, and guide him or her through the session. The goal is to get you the most bang for your buck, and QUICKLY get your child on the path to independence and proficiency.
We were founded in 2011 by two high school teachers that were fed up with cookie cutter mandates and the limited amount of time available to offer individualization to each student. Our frustrations, however, allowed us to hone our skills in regard to moving quickly --again, we emphasize building that tutor/student rapport rapidly, as well as having the s

Born the son of two restaurateurs, I spent my most influential years in a high paced restaurant setting. I began my restaurant career at the ripe age of 5, working the drive through window at my parents Dairy Queen. Throughout my childhood I saw my parents franchise many concepts, from counter service and retail to sit down establishments. I saw the fads come and go.
Throughout high school and college, I climbed the ranks at Islands Restaurant’s, holding every position in the restaurant at one point or another. This gifted me the insight into the cohesion required amongst all positions throughout a food and beverage company. How every p
