She chooses assignments that are both classic and contemporary and engages students in conversation ranging from introductory comments to profound literary deconstruction. Her French accent is impeccable (I have been going to France for 50 years) and her method of correction is both gentle and effective. I highly recommend her as a French teacher!!!" Read more

Martha S. says, "Mr. Uhal, in my professional perspective, is a distinguished figure in the field of war history, strategy, and philosophy. His teachings are not merely academic; they are instrumental in preparing students for the realities of warfare and strategic planning. Opening a window to the intellectually accepted reality that these aspects rule our everyday existence. His deep understanding of war history, combined with his expertise in philosophy and strategy, provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the complexities of conflict and relationships. This interdisciplinary approach equips students with a robust intellectual toolkit, enabling them to analyze and interpret historical events through various lenses. Furthermore, his teachings inspire deep analogical philosophical thinking. Students are encouraged to draw parallels between historical events and philosophical concepts, fostering a unique perspective on warfare and strategy. This approach cultivates an environment of intellectual rigor, which is essential in the field of war studies and human behavior altogether. In conclusion, his contributions to the field are significant. His teachings do not merely enrich the mind; they prepare students for unfathomed realities. His influence on the development of future strategists is profound and indispensable. He provides a broader vision, with challenging complexity and near perfect balance. Mrs. Sierra, J.D." Read more

Gavin H. says, "Matty is an extraordinary musician, and is a really intuitive teacher! Even though he didn't teach me for very long the amount I learned from him in the time that I DID spend with him helped fuel me to be where I am today. Matty is an awesome guy and a great teacher and he built me great fundamentals and explained things to me in a clear way that I was easily able to drive myself in the direction I wanted once we had reached a milestone with my skill set. I would recommend anyone affiliated with Common Courtesy because they are all talented, but I would absolutely recommend Matty to anyone who has a passion and is willing to learn! " Read more

My name is Shane McQuerry. I have 20 years under my belt and the experience of going to music school for guitar, bass, piano, and electronic music. I went to AIMM in Duluth and completed 52 classes in one year with ADHD and learned as a musician how to work through my own learning strengths and weaknesses, as well as working through significant tendon injuries and enduring the years to reclaim my ability to play my instruments and keep striving. Through group lessons, class settings, years of personal study, very expensive private lessons - I've had to assess where I am slower with learning in order to adapt and stay independent and DIY on my...

Geoff is very knowledgeable in many things and in particular, history. He is very informative and can teach you just about anything related to history. He has a very good understanding of a broad range of subjects too and he never stops learning as well. He is also an excellent boxing instructor and has been doing that for 20 or so years. I have seen him first hand teach boxing along with teaching it to those who have Parkinson's disease to help with their muscle movements.
