Hi, I’m Loren Alonzo, and I’ve been passionate about music for as long as I can remember! From playing piano as a kid to accompanying choirs and eventually earning my degree in Piano Performance at San Jose State University, music has always been my heart and soul. I’ve had incredible experiences, like touring internationally with an all-female pop/alternative band, "The Like Me's," where I played for thousands and even dabbled in songwriting. As a teacher with over ten years of experience, I love creating lessons that are as fun as they are inspiring. I am a UC Berkeley student with 12+ years of personal music training and 3+ years of music teaching experience. I have successfully guided students in piano, singing, sight reading, and music theory for the MTAC Certificate of Merit Exams, ABRSM Exams, and AP Music Theory Exam. As a Bay Area native, I am knowledgable of local music competitions and performance opportunities suitable for you or your student. Been teaching since 2006 and love it! Sharing my passion for music learning!

I gained my piano training and music education in Taiwan (BM) and Japan (MM) and have been teaching for 25 years, currently in Cupertino, Santa Clara and Mountain View. I love the opportunity to share my love of music and to inspire students to achieve their best. I use the music exams of the MTAC and ABRSM and enter students for several competitions as additional motivation. My students have ranged from ages 4-18, many of them competition prize winners and gaining the highest honors in exams. I see piano lessons as an opportunity not only to excel in music but to improve learning skills in general and add to their quality of life.

Kashmira began studying the violin at age four and was a member of the Hawaii Youth Symphony while growing up. She obtained her B.M. in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado–Boulder under Charles Wetherbee. At CU, Kashmira participated in a Music and Performing Arts summer program in Florence, Italy where she studied with violinist Alberto Bologni, renowned performer, teacher and co-founder of the Florentia Consort Associazione Culturale.
