I have been teaching dance since 1980 and have never had a student I couldn't teach. I love the challenge of figuring out the best teaching style for each student. I've worked with students who could not learn from other teachers, as well as students with physical and mental blocks to learning. Destiny Arts Center, founded in 1998 and based in Oakland, California, is dedicated to enriching the lives of local youth through performing and martial arts. They provide a multicultural learning environment where kids can develop self-esteem, artistic expression, and personal empowerment. They offer workshops focusing on violence prevention and movement arts to schools and wider community groups. Destiny Arts Center runs after-school, weekend, and summer programs, serving over 150 youth at the Center and another 450-500 through their Project DESTINY programs in over 20 schools.
