About
I can bring out the best in your performance. Utilizing my years of improv experience, I will bring a sense of spontaneity and freshness to your performance.
It gives me such a thrill to witness the "aha moment" (sorry for the plagiarism, Oprah) when an actor really feels in sync with their piece.

Greg’s a very down to earth, immensely passionate teacher. He works with you at your specific level to bring out the best possible work in monologue and scene study .

I was always comfortable with singing but saying lines and acting?!? When I decided to try musical theater I knew I needed help. I was not in my comfort zone but Greg made me feel comfortable, validated my fear and then helped push me. He’s got a great sense of humor and is kind. Combine that with his knowledge and experience... I learned a ton from him and had a great time doing it.

Greg was such a wonderful director to work with. I feel like he does such a good job with letting actors play out their natural instincts for a character, but he seems to know exactly when and where to step in when needed. He is very kind and makes you feel comfortable to put on the best show you can.

Having worked with Greg on several shows and attended his workshop, I can state unequivocally that of all the directors I’ve worked with he is by far the most creative, supportive, and well-organized. If you have the opportunity to be cast in one of his shows, I guarantee it will be a good one!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I, first, find out my student's goals and challenges. Next, I ask if they have something specific they'd like to work on; and then we go from there. I believe in flexibility and thinking on our feet. You never can tell in which directions you might grow!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from college with a BA in Theatre (and in English, if anyone cares to discuss literature with me). Add to that 40 years experience as a director.
