27 years teaching children how to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish. I posses 3 teaching credentials; BClad for Spanish instruction, regular education K-12 and Special education Mild to Moderate . I have been able to empower students that thought they could never learn how to read and write with the power of words. My plethora of experience makes me a perfect person to help students.! I love working with students and challenging them to learn!
Building a bridge of knowledge that my students will have for a lifetime! Not only learn a new concept or skills but be able to use them to communicate, succeed, or simply enjoy it!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Do a preliminary evaluation to assess level of knowledge and goals. Very important to know what you want to accomplish before we start working together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I posses three teaching credentials: regular education K-12 , Special Education Mild to Moderate and BCC Bilingual Certificate of Competency life credential. I worked for 6 years in Mexico City teaching kids and 30 years for LAUSD in different school settings. Since I retired I have been tutoring Spanish, reading and writing, basic concepts for school readiness and adults!
