Dancing is not just a thing some people can do; it's a birthright for everyone to enjoy. It connects one to the body and helps us to feel and listen to the vibrations around us. Learning to dance will improve your physical and mental health. Studies have shown that people who dance their whole lives are able to stay mentally sharp and avoid Alzheimer's and dementia later on.
Your confidence will also take a huge boost. Your social life will improve. The benefits just go on and on.
About me: I was born in Dominican Republic but mostly raised in Philadelphia, PA. I recently moved to Oakland from Philadelphia. I've been teaching dance for 4 years now working with kids age 4-15 and also with adults who have chronic pain.
Styles that I can teach: Cuban Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, or if you're goal is to just be comfortable moving your body and dancing to any style of music I can help you with that too.
I'm offering my services to individuals, small groups, men, women, kids, seniors and everyone in between. Private lessons are the best way to learn because you get information at a pace that you can digest. Many group dance classes even ones advertised for beginners can be too advanced for someone with little experience.
If you're a total beginner and you're passionate about this don't hesitate to contact me.
