Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new students I like to let them be themselves without changing too much. I assess their comfort level with the material and then work on delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My son is an established actor and has been in Shameless, SCOOB!, Father Stu, Jingle Jangle and much more. I have helped him throughout the entire process and have learned so much along the way! He is 12 years old.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I like to keep my lesson charges low. I feel actors should not have to pay high prices to be coached. My rate is $75 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching my son when he was 3. I learned very quickly how to motivate and get the read I needed for a booking. I have worked with all of his friends in the industry and understand the process very well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages 3-15, new to established actors.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a student who was very afraid to cry. It was difficult for her to pull her thoughts away from having to actually cry. After our session, she did cry and realized that her fears were holding her back.
