I having a Music Major in Guitar Performance and have been teaching at a Music Institute for the past 9 years. (One on one lessons, group lessons, & online lessons) I also compose and play lead guitar for a progressive metal band. I’m mostly teach in two styles: 1. Teaching technique and music theory for genres like metal and progressive rock. (Sweep Picking, Economy Picking, Legato etc) 2. Teaching sheet music and standard repertoire for those whose goal is to learn classical or jazz.

Pierre began his violin studies at the age of 8 under the guidance of Li Lin in the Bay Area. Over the next decade, he won multiple local violin competitions such as the Senior Strings Division of the VOCE competition in 2005, and toured and performed with both the California Youth Symphony (CYS) and the San Francisco Youth Symphony Orchestra all over the world. His studies brought him to the New England Conservatory, where he earned his bachelor's in Violin Performance. I am a UC Berkeley student with 12+ years of personal music training and 3+ years of music teaching experience. I have successfully guided students in piano, singing, sight reading, and music theory for the MTAC Certificate of Merit Exams, ABRSM Exams, and AP Music Theory Exam. As a Bay Area native, I am knowledgable of local music competitions and performance opportunities suitable for you or your student.
