Meet Your Instructor:
My name is Dr. Araceli Calderón. My passion is to teach Spanish and I have done so for over 15 years at the high school, community college, and university level. I am an engaged instructor who seeks professional development in order to best meet the needs of my students. It is my mission to ensure that my students have a positive experience while acquiring Spanish. In addition to being an instructor at different institutions, I recently graduated with a Phd from UCI. My dissertation entitled "Motherhood in Movement: Depictions of the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) in literature, film, and photography" examines the importance women had during the revolutionary period. I was awarded a fellowship from UC Mexus, AAUW, and other funding. If you are interested, I am always happy to share my professional and educational experience with you, especially as you continue your academic endeavors.
