I bring to my students a wealth of experiences from a very expansive background. My experience as a classical violinist includes the Denver Symphony (now the Colorado Symphony) as well as Concertmaster of the Colorado Ballet. When I was nine years old, my earliest fiddling experience was with Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys in Dallas, Texas. My championships include state as well as National Champion in my age division. Most of my fiddling early on was by ear so it was a natural path for me to embrace the Suzuki rote approach to violin teaching. My teaching focuses on skills students need to succeed in playing their violin or viola while also making learning enjoyable. I make sure students are clear on what they need to work on and how to work on it. Body alignment and ergonomics of playing are emphasized. I have a large arsenal of ways to teach violin and viola so am able to customize for each student. I am an experienced teacher that is still very passionate about what I do. I'm a professional violinist within orchestral and solo repertoire experience. I have a Masters degree in Music Performance, I have a passion for teaching and sharing my experiences with the next generation of musicians and with people who enjoys music in general. I speak two languages, Spanish and English.
