I'm been teaching since 1993. I have 30 years of training in Swing, Latin and ballroom. I am a local, national and international judge. I am a two time Hall of Famer in Colorado and California. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on what they want to learn. I would Start with their foundation first. The foundation is probably the most important learning tool that is needed to start their process of learning the type of dance that they are interested in.
I would from that point teach them their techniques on what ever dance they are learning. This is so important because this is what connects them to each other when dancing.
Finally, I would teach them how to connect with each other and the music. this is the final phase of dancing with each other. That's when the gun begans.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 38 years if training in Swinfg, Latin and ballroom. I have worked with some of the top coaches in my gifted career.
