About
We address the biggest barrier to learning a new language - confidence speaking. Although there are thousands of options for learning vocabulary and grammar, everyone knows that speaking (and listening) are the most challenging. We fix that - but helping English and Spanish speakers connect and learn HOW to practice together.
Connecting Cultures Through Language - I have seen so many lives change through the connections that happen inside ShareLingo. New life-long friendships are formed every day.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Please visit www.ShareLingo.org or www.iShareLingo.com to find out more about The ShareLingo Project. Use one of the contact forms on any of the pages/sites to connect with us and get started (or ask questions!).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
ShareLingo has helped thousands of English and Spanish speakers around the world really SPEAK a new language. Our unique model is focused on the practice and confidence part of speaking a new language. no matter what you do to learn more vocabulary (duolingo, classes, etc) you have to have a way to practice with native speakers - that's what ShareLingo is all about.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing depends on if you want to attend live small group classes, or use our online platform and membership. We do offer discounts for students, teachers, non-profits, and many other categories. ShareLingo is a Social Enterprise, and the mission comes before profits.
How did you get started teaching?
I found that the "secret" to speaking a new language is this: The more people you can help speak your language, the faster and easier it is to speak theirs. Simple... once you find the right people to help, and know how to help them.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with English and Spanish speakers from all levels, all walks of life, and all over the world.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We receive testimonials all the time.. like this one from Rosa in Atlanta. "Hello everyone! I wanted to share an exciting experience I had on Saturday. I went to the Dominican hair salon to get my hair done for an event and I was able to have a complete conversation in Spanish! I was so surprised but it was much easier than it has been in the past for me. Many thanks to James Archer and this program for helping me continue to improve my Spanish... I can definitely tell a difference!"
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do not wait to meet Spanish speakers until you learn more vocabulary. You need to meet native speakers as early in the process as possible, help them speak some English, and THEN learn more vocabulary to practice with them. This is the absolute best way to build confidence speaking right from the beginning.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your primary burining goal or objective. It's not enough to say "I want to speak Spanish". Try to know exactly WHY - for work? For Travel? For family reasons? Have you found new love, and they speak Spanish? Having one clear main reason helps you focus on exactly what to learn first... and what to ignore for now. That makes the process much more interesting, and much faster.
