Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We assess based on the American Counsel on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Scale (Novice Low to Advanced High)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of our teachers have between 5 and 20 years experience teaching Spanish.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our classes, worskhops and tutoring sessions can be purchased for between $5 and $50 each. You can also purchase a package of tutoring sessions or enroll in our UNLIMITED class package for just $140/month and take advantage of over 100 hours of group classes each month!
How did you get started teaching?
We have a staff of six teachers that fell in love with language at a young age and enjoy seeing others experience the joys of being bilingual.
What types of students have you worked with?
We serve preschoolers through senior adults!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who is flexible. Learning a language is an intensive task, and you'll need a tutor/teacher/program that is willing to work around your schedule. You should be able to work intensely or take breaks as your schedule allows!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How many years experience do your teachers have teaching ONLY SPANISH? Many teachers are native speakers who want to dabble in instruction, or who have taught other subjects but don't have a deep "bag of tricks" for language acquisition.
