About
Gene has been dancing since he was a young boy. After developing a heart condition restricting him to bed for a year, he was encouraged by his doctor to find an activity. He began taking ballet classes, leading to Tap dancing, and a heightened passion for dance! He relocated to New York City to join a ballet company and found himself Sharing the Broadway stage with big names - Carol Channing, Julie Andrews, and Steve Condos. Gene’s career on Broadway landed him opportunities in shows like “Hello Dolly”, “Camelot”, and “Once Upon A Mattress” with Carol Burnett. After success on The stage he has been teaching tap classes ever since, and has created a wonderful community of talented dancers around the front range in Denver, Colorado. At 84 years old, he has shown few signs of slowing down. An inspiration and a gem!
