Hello! My name is Pearl Rutherford and I am a voice teacher in Littleton, Colorado. I have been teaching voice and piano since graduating with my voice performance degree in 1988. I teach a range of ages: from age 7, high school, college students, on up to age 70+. I specialize in teaching classical and musical theatre styles, but my students study and perform a variety of genres. My students include pop songwriters, musical theatre and classical artists, and a number have been (and are currently) in theatre productions in the Denver area. I provide books and original exercises for my students to help develop their skills. My students receive a thorough knowledge of music theory practices. They work in a variety of books so that their skills in sight reading, counting, and dexterity are firmly and quickly established. At a certain point in their study, I introduce a second instrument such as recorder or flute which help with fingering and sight reading. Also, my students know that I love and appreciate the study of music and hope they will too....
