I provide books and original exercises for my students to help develop their skills. My students receive a thorough knowledge of music theory practices. They work in a variety of books so that their skills in sight reading, counting, and dexterity are firmly and quickly established. At a certain point in their study, I introduce a second instrument such as recorder or flute which help with fingering and sight reading. Also, my students know that I love and appreciate the study of music and hope they will too....

As a full-time, tenured member of the Colorado Symphony, I am constantly working with the best musicians in the country. My goal in teaching is to inspire my students to be as excited as I am about every epiphany, small win, and baby step of the learnign process. I work with students to refine their problem-solving skills and expand their creative minds, so they can become their own best teachers.
