Harp Lessons With Zoe!
About
Hello! My name is Zoe Vandermeer (www.sopranoandharp.com, [email protected]) and I have been teaching lever harp, Celtic harp, and historical harps for 25 years. Beginning to advanced students learn excellent techniques for the harp, harp exercises, and repertoire that works with your harp. I teach arranging for the harp, composing for the harp, and storytelling with the harp! I also teach singing, musicianship skills, how to read music, and music theory. I love helping harpists find their own voice with their harp, and enjoying this beautiful instrument which is so expressive, powerful, and healing. I perform professionally both nationally and internationally, and have given harp workshops for the American Harp Society, Somerset Harp Festival, Historical Harp Society, and elsewhere. Performances include the American Harp Society, Rio International Harp Festival (Brasil), Bloomington Early Music Festival,
Glasgow International Early Music Festival, Nairn Theatre Scotland, Gotham Early Music Scene NYC, CT Early Music Festival, New Britain American Museum of Art, University of Massachusetts Renaissance Center, and the American Swedish Historical Museum. I was a Quarter Finalist with my own compositions in the World Harp Competition 2024, and I am looking forward to the release of my upcoming solo soprano/harp album. I am on the Roster of the CT Commission Culture and Tourism since 2011. My degree is from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and I am currently enrolled in a PhD program (online) at the University of Birmingham, England.
I look forward to hearing from you, and answering your questions about all things harp!
Best regards,
Zoe Vandermeer
