Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I hear them play through the piece (if intermediate level), then I give my comments and tell them how to fix those problems. We work through those exercises together.
I also hear their concerns or questions about the piece, which helps them get better at practicing and solving problems on their own.
If they are beginner level, I try to communicate them on what kind of music they are interested in, and try not to force pieces on them. However, I like suggesting certain pieces, if I find it helpful for their development.

The Juilliard School- bachelor of music
