Frequently asked questions

Listening is the key.  I will ask multiple questions about your game and listen to what you are looking for.  From there I will first watch the ball flight, then I will look at the swing.  Once I have all of the answers I am looking for, then we get to work, starting from basic fundamentals, and working from there.

When I played proffesionally and was working with a coach, I noticed how good I was at picking causes of my errors out.  When I decided to no longer play for myself, I began teaching, and it was a fairly easy transition.

Beginners of all ages, all the way up to PGA Tour Players.

Watching a new professional, make it into the sectional qualifier for the US Open.

15 year old junior golfer, being offered a scholarship to the University of Washington.

Do your best to interview them.  For there to be success, you have to respect and have trust in them.  I have seen players go to the biggest names in instruction and not get anything out of it.  Everyone is different and not everyone matches with a coach.  Your environment during the lesson time will greatly effect your ability to retain information and see improvement.

The biggest thing you want to know is the approach which the teacher takes during their lessons.  Do you want a method, and look like every other golfer?  Or do you want to simply improve who you are as a golfer.
