Welcome New Students! My name is Ivan and I love music. I believe I was meant to serve others through music. I was fortunate to graduate with honors from Berklee College of Music. I've performed in multiple stages in North America with both established and indie artists. My all time instrument has been the drumset but in the last 5 or so years have worked on learning and mastering guitar. I have a great deal of experience playing and teaching the Horn. I am a former principal Horn of The Miam Symphony, and have played with many orchestras throughout Florida. I have extensive experience teaching Horn. While in South Florida, I have taught Horn at The Gulliver Academy since 2006. I was also the Horn Professor at the Panama Conservatory of music in Central America. I hold a Masters degree in Performance from Carnegie-Melon University in Pittsburgh, and a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Oberlin Conservatory of Music. I have a strong passion for drumming and music. I have been drumming for over 10 years! I enjoy teaching others and watching them as they improve and progress. I currently work as a registered behavior technician (RBT) and provide therapy to kids on the Autism spectrum. I find joy in supporting and encouraging our youth as they are our future. I Have performed on many stages in miami some include club space, teas and poets, and gramps. I work as a drum instructor for miami girls rock camp during the summer. I enjoy mainly rock but can also play other genres such as pop music, latin, and funk.
