About

I have had a lot of success with students over the years. I don’t know if there’s one that ranks above all others but I do know that the most rewarding thing I received from my coaching career is the look and smile on a golfer’s face when they strike the perfect shot for the first time.

I have taught and coached golfers of all ages and skill, from the beginning golfer to the most accomplished professional players and the youngest of junior golfers to wisest of adult golfers.

When I first start with a new customer I will meet them for a free consultation and first session so that they can experience my teaching first hand and I can learn more about their future golf instructional needs. When that customer signs up for golf instruction a typical lesson will begin with an explanation of what they are doing wrong and how to fix it, followed by some practice drills that will help them develop and provide feedback for future practice and finally, follow up notes and videos, including instructor voiceovers to sum up the lesson.

While I do offer single lesson pricing, like all other sports, golf is an activity where improvements are made over the course of time where golfers should focus on improving one skill at a time; the most important one to achieving your personal goal first. With that in mind, I offer discounts on extended lesson packages for private and group coaching.

    Frequently asked questions

I generally start with a self assessment questionnaire, which provides me with some insight Into my students game. Secondly, my first session with a new student or potential student is on the golf course. I like to see students play in actual on course situations and conditions providing accurate feedback about their skills and how they play the game.
I have 30+ years of coaching and teaching experience with a background in biomechanics and physiology allowing me to match up my students, physical abilities with their shot tendencies and preferences.
I am a results based Golf Coach, who is focused on helping students achieve a certain goal within their game over the course of time. When meeting with a student for the first time, I take them to the golf course see how they play and sit down with them following play to discuss an improvement plan designed explicitly for them. The price of my coaching is really dependent upon what the student wants to achieve and in what period of time they want to see these results.
Making a long story short, I was rehabbing from an injury and could not play competitive golf. A few members asked me if I could help them with their golf swing, and my answer was I really don’t know much about your swing only about my swing and how to play well on the course. Their next question was, ten can you help us play better on the course? I immediately answered yes, I see a lot of amatuer, golfers, and young professional players making some poor decisions and incorrect club selections that could easily lead to higher scores. That day was the beginning of my coaching career!
I have worked with students of all ages and abilities from the newest of golfer to the most experienced professional player.
Being a result-based Golf Coach, I am most fond of helping students shoot lower scores on a consistent basis. Most of my students achieve lower scores, taking 5 to 10 or even 15 shots off the game in 12 weeks or less.
I recommend golfers who are looking to improve their game. Ask a lot of questions do their research and find a coach that does the same for their game. The questions I asked my students and the answers that I listen to make the process smoother and easier with communication.
I think students should be prepared before searching out a coach by asking themselves. What is it specifically that I’d like to achieve and are they committed to investing the time and resources into achieving their goal?
