    Frequently asked questions

I use a multi-media approach (PowerPoint, CDs and videos) that I think makes learning fun and we will talk to each other in Spanish (a lot). My students like a tailored approach that meets their learning objectives so they can start immediately using what they learn in class in real life.

I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Masters Degree in Spanish. My education included courses in Latin American politics, history, literature and culture. I have a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Hispanic Studies from UNC-Wilmington. I lived in Latin America for many years so I have unique insight.

I became a Spanish teacher by accident. I was living in Japan and some Japanese university student friends asked me if I could teach them Spanish. After working with them, I realized how rewarding teaching is and I've been teaching Spanish ever since.

Government, Professional, Retirees, College/University, High and middle School-aged. I've taught them all! I conduct both Individual tutoring and teach group classes.

I recently taught a Spanish immersion class for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks. My student learned Spanish very quickly and after completing the course, he took a Spanish proficiency test for his job and got a score that exceeded his expectation!
