About
I am 38 years old. I played professional golf for 8 years before injuries forced me to change my path. I have a deep passion for sharing my knowledge with my students. I have been teaching students of all ages and skill levels for approximately 8 years.
I myself know how difficult it is finding the right instructor that you feel comforatable with. While playing on the mini tours, I have learned from some of the top instructors in the world.
The greatest feeling in my day is the look on the clients face when they truly understand the HOW and the WHY. I also am a Certified Golf Club Performance Specialist. I do club fitting for Srixon and Taylormade equipment. I teach out of Summit Golf Center in Port Orange Florida.
I am enthusiastic about the golf swing and teaching. l am very patient and a great listener.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First we get accuainted and find out what we are trying to achieve.
Next I watch the student hit some shots all the while checking all the basic fundamentals.
We then use video anaylsis to see if there are any areas in the swing that need to be addressed.
After showing the video to the student, I point out areas that I believe need addressing and then we do drills to aid in the process of achieving the end goal which is better golf
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have played golf professionally for 8 years. I have had help from some of the best instructors in the world. I know what it takes to compete at a high level, as well as doing it on a consistant basis.
I have a Certification from Mitchell Golf for Golf Club Performance Specialist and Club Fitting
Launch Monitor Certification from Flightscope
How did you get started teaching?
I got into teaching after my professional golf carear was cut short due to injury. Now I love sharing my knowledge with my clients.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and skill levels. From 8yrs old to 100yrs old. From 50 handicappers to professional. I currently am instructing 4 professional golfers who are having success on the mini tours across the country. Also, I have experience with students that have body limitations due to injury.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would definitly do my research. There are a lot of golf instructors in the world that are good teachers. But there are very few of them that are good listeners as well as being able to do what they teach. I would suggest asking the instructor if you could come by and meet them, (within reason of driving distance and the instructors schedule), or find a way to get feedback from some of the instructors previous students. You will know within a few minutes of talking with the instructor if they are compatible with your needs. Please understand that golf is a very difficult sport due to it being the only sport that you have to hit a little ball that isnt moving into a little hole a long ways away. With that in mind please understand that the chances are one 30min or 1hr lesson will not be enough for better consistant golf. It takes practice, practice, practice and a great attitude to be consistant.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Really think about what you are wanting to achieve from the lesson. I.E. How to get the ball off the ground, How to hit a draw, How to Hit a Fade, How to correct a Slice or Hook, with an understanding that there is no such thing as a perfectly straight shot but there is such a thing as a more consistant shot shape.
Also think about how much time you have to put into a change in your golf swing. Understand it will get worse before it gets better. If a change feels amazing to you chances are you are still swinging with the old swing pre-lesson. It will take some time and practice to make changes for a more consistant golf swing. So PLEASE be PATIENT, the golf swing is a process like putting on your pants in the morning. One step at a time.
