Acting, writing, and dancing are my passion, and I only wish I had had someone to coach me before I made a career out of it. So I coach from a heart to help burgeoning creatives in their art and career!
I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California's "School of Dramatic Arts."
My original sitcom pilot placed "Top 5 in All Television" at the Atlanta film festival, and I currently have a book "Before LA Kills You" available on Amazon.
I also taught a beginner hip-hop dance class in Hollywood for over 4 years.
You can find more about me at www.jonathan-langley.com or http://imdb.me/jonathanlangley. For acting or screenwriting lessons, book a session with me! For creative career coaching, you can also find me at http://clarity.fm/jonathanlangley.
Let's do this!
Working with Langley Arts was nothing but a pleasure. I came in uncertain and left confident having the knowledge that Langley helped me grow in my craft in multiple ways. One of the specific things that stuck out most is his attention to detail and undivided attention!
Outstanding! I've learned more just a few sessions than with months of previous formal lessons! Jonathan is wonderful to work with and focuses on the practical get right to it aspects. I am really learning and really enjoying it!
When you coach with Jonathan, you get the accumulated knowledge of his 10 years of study in Los Angeles. He taught me so much, from understanding comedic character archetypes to the mechanics of how to get a great audition recorded and sent to casting directors! He even helped me with the scene analysis and story structure of my own dramatic writing. He really cares about his students, and he’ll even help you with advice about the business side of things, too. Highly recommend!
Most importantly, I like to establish trust. That means...
A) I like to get to know an artist -- what (s)he is like as a person, not just what areas seem most challenging.
B) I like to check in with mindset: What do we believe about ourselves in relation to this subject?
And C) I like to see if we can get some momentum toward the students' dreams and goals right away.
