About this pro

Wedding dance choreography and training at its finest! I love seeing the enjoyment my students have while they learn this new skill.

I work with people who have never danced in their life as well as folks who have been dancing for years. I teach both private and group lessons and have been teaching for years!

I started taking lessons as a hobby, then trained to be a teacher,. then purchased my dance studio and ran it for 12 years, teaching students and new teachers.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to start by getting to know what my student's goals are - what experience if any that they have, are the lessons for an event or to develop a hobby, that sort of thing. That helps me to know what approach to the lessons to use.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I started ballroom dancing as a student, moved into teaching and then started my own studio. Since then I have become a Master Instructor and even train new teachers in the profession.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Group lessons are $10.00 per hour per person, private lessons for 1 to 3 people are $60.00 per hour and wedding lessons with choreography and cut music are $65.00 per hour.

How did you get started teaching?

I loved dancing so much I couldn't get enough so I started to learn how to be a dance teacher. Teaching others gives me a feeling of fullfillment that I don't find in any other area of my life.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with young students as young as 3 years old and with elderly students as old as 70. My students come to me with

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Earlier this year I went to the 95.9 "The River" Masquerade Ball. It is a senior prom for grown-ups! It was tons of fun! Lots of good music to dance to and great food.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Take a lesson to decide if you like the teacher and their style of teaching.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Start by giving some thought to why you are taking the lessons and communicate that to the teacher, it will give the teacher some insight as to what to focus on to help you meet your goals.
