I teach students the foundations of rhythm and playing together, keeping it fun and interesting. I meet the student where they are at skill wise and move them forward from there. I bring in a lot of influence of drumming styles from around the world. I have been performing and reaching for over 25 years.

Tambor Chicago is focused on promoting the proliferation of Afro-Cuban folkloric music to diverse audiences. My goal as a teacher is to help you gain a solid foundation of the essentials, technique, rudiments, hand / foot coordination, reading music and also learning by ear. I am well versed in percussion/drums, bass guitar, turntables, and music production. I enjoy the look on someones face when they learn something musically and get excited about that moment of the experience.
