Painting is a creative expression, and the forms are numerous. Water color, and acrylic painting among other aesthetic modes, may serve to manifest the expressive and conceptual. Paintings can be naturalistic and representational. I enjoy the challenge of realism. Sketching out my paintings first in pencil or marker gives me a road map to the way to complete my paintings.
