I was optimistic when I discovered that Kym had been trained in the Classical Romana’s Pilates method, as a high level and quality of instruction was extremely important to me. My first beginning Pilates class with Kym was encouraging. Kym took the time to explain each movement along with the proper placement and offered modifications as needed if I was unable to perform certain skills. I never felt awkward or overwhelmed as Kym has a warm and welcoming teaching style. Due to Kym’s expertise, attention to detail, and straight forward instruction she is able to advise clients with modifications appropriate to their ability regardless of whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced student. As a result of small class sizes, each individual receives adequate instruction and attention to ensure proper technique and alignment. Kym focuses on each individual’s weaknesses to help improve strength and flexibility. I started Pilates almost seven years ago. I tried a few studios but found the discipline of Kym’s classes to be refreshing and the results of hard work were encouraging. I’ve taken mat classes and am now also working on tower. Kym is fun and firm at the same time, and makes me want to bring my best effort forward for each minute of class. Kym's classes (initially mat, and then Tower) helped me to get back into shape after having my first child and stay in shape through my second pregnancy. Her teaching and mindful cues are right on point, make me actually think about every part of body that we are working on, and have guided me to dig into core work with results like no other kind of exercise.
