I teach the easiest way to learn golf. Simple Swing. I am a certified golf instructor of this method. Stop being frustrated and have more fun. I am an easy going instructor who can have you hitting well and straight in no time. This method usually requires less practice. If you are struggling with your game or a beginner this is a good method for you. Instruction can also includes online video reinforcement. I enjoy watching students become consistent golfers.
I help students become good golfers who can problem solve their own faults without a ton of lessons. I love golf and passing on a method that makes the golf game fun.

Dr. Larry is very patient and kind. He explains things well with some dad jokes type of humor in the mix, which I appreciated. It was my first lesson and it completely made a difference. His prices are very reasonable and hes generally a nice guy to spend time with. Definitely recommend him as an instructor.

I recently took a lesson with Dr Larry and I was very impressed with his teaching. He provided me with simple and easy techniques to improved my swings. He’s quick to pinpoint my swing flaws and provided me with clear explanation and drills to correct them. After a few trials, I got couple great shots. Thanks Dr Larry for being patient and positive, even when I struggled. Very satisfied!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
One and one-half hour lessons to get the fundamentals down. Discussion on and off the range year long. I will also join a student on the golf course for a slight upcharge.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Background in education, pyschology, and teaching. I am also certified in the method I teach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60.00 for one and one-half hour lesson(most helpful) for one person
$40.00 for one hour for 0ne person
$80.00 for one and one-half hours of instruction for 2 people
$100.00 for 3 for one and one-half hours of instruction
$125.00 for 4 or 5 for one and one-half hours of instruction
Cheapest instruction in Indy. Usually one hour will cost at least 60 but often 80 or more
How did you get started teaching?
I have been a life long educator. I am also trained in learning and psychological techniques as they relate to golf. I am also a Certified Simple Swing Instructor. I
have a PhD in clinical pyschology, health, education and sports instruction.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners through intermediate level. However I will work with advanced players having difficulty in their swing. Often advanced players have a problem or two which need to be identified.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Coaching a girls team with the techniques I use at the driving range. Many successes with individual lessons. Learning should be progressive. Recently shot my third hole-in-one.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Good players are not always good teachers. Learn basic fundamentals first then you will have more fun and play better. Unlike many techniques Simple Swing has a method that you can repeat over and over. You can use this method with any club in the bag.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. Are you a good teacher or just a player that teaches golf?
2. Do you demonstrate components of the swing before you have the student practice?
3. Are you a patient instructor or do you get frustrated with an student for not getting a concept right away?
4. Do you give handouts or just expect the student to remember everything?I provide a handout when asked.
5. Do you really care about the students progress?
6. Can a student call you without charge to ask questions?
7. Do you have positive reviews?
8. Are you a friendly instructor that respects a student as a person?
