I am a former club professional, who became very comfortable and adept at working with women specifically on there golf swings.
I have been working freelance as an instructor since leaving the club professional experience in 1990. I enjoy my work, and I work with individuals based on who they are, what there goals are and where they are in the process.
Golf is a personal thing, and each person connects thoughts and ideas differently. The key is finding that connection. I work with a swing instruction based on feel. I am an old school instructor, and prefer range based lessons.
Located on the West Side of Indianapolis, I am willing to work anywhere in the greater Indianapolis area.
I like meeting the people, and watching them make progress. I love seeing what I call "light bulb moments". I also enjoy working the puzzle that each person provides. Golf is an individual sport, and each individual is unique, and thus the golf swing will be somewhat unique also.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to interview the golfer ahead of the interview, to see what their goals are for the process. From there it depends on the level and abilities of the player. With beginners we focus on the basics (grip, stance, posture, and basic swing motion). The advanced player may start with a couple holes of golf to see what the game looks like.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is small wonder that I work specifically with women. I grew up in a family with three sisters, and am now married with three daughters. While that isn't formal training, it may be more valuable.
In addition to being a golf instructor, I am also a hockey instructor for adult recreational hockey in the Indianapolis area. I have been coaching hockey for more that 23 years. I was also coach for an adult women's ametuer hockey team for multiple seasons.
