About
I have been playing and involved with competitive golf for 50 years. After rising through the junior, high school, college, and professional ranks I was elected to membership as a PGA professional in 1986 and have served Pebble Brook Golf Club and Anderson Country Club as well as their members and guests for the past 30 years. I thoroughly enjoy helping players of all skill levels to reach goals by working with their individual swings and helping them formulate a training program to get them to the level of play they want to reach. I currently work with beginners all the way up to Division 1 college players both mens and womens and all skill levels in between. I am a life member of the PGA of America, was an All-State player in high school, and a 2 time All-American in college while attending Ball State University. After playing the PGA Tour in 1979,80, and 82 I was elected into the Ball State University Athletics Hall of Fame as well as the Indiana Golf Hall of Fame. I do have a profile on Linkedin as well as Facebook.

I start a beginner with a process beginning in a certain order from putting, chipping, short irons, long irons/hybrids, woods, and finally bunker play with an ending lesson in how to play the game including course etiquette.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Have been a PGA Member for over 30 completing several teaching and coaching seminars.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Everything may be customized but basically $75.00 per hour with kids in school being charged $40.00 for 45 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
Was a part of my requirements for being a PGA club professional.
What types of students have you worked with?
Have worked with boy and girl students from 5 to 21 and men and women all all skill levels with success.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just returned from a week long trip to Pinehurst with 4 high school players working on golf for a solid week as they worked out daily to get ready for the rest of their high school golf season.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look to hire a teacher that is willing to work with the skills and golf swing you have and and is willing to help you learn how to fix your own mistakes down the road.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How willing they are to improving and to truly commit to some serious time to get better. Lessons only work if you make the time to practice! If getting better is your goal then always remember....a goal without a plan is ONLY a wish!!
