Rhythm In Motion Dance Studio
About
I've been a Professional Dance Instructor and Choreographer since 1992 and have taught thousands of people just like you how to dance. I am accomplished in all American Smooth and Rhythm Styles, and also specialize in West Coast Swing, Salsa, and Country.
I am passionate about teaching dance, and delight in bringing each new dancer to a level of success that enables them to feel confident. I believe in teaching how to "lead & follow" rather than just memorizing steps.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will discuss the type of dancing you are most interested in, type of music you like and places you frequently go. Then we will pick the dance that best suits your interests. Typically we will begin with Swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Teaching professionally since 1992, trained by several professional coaches over the years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are 45 minutes long at a cost of $60. If you purchase a package of 5, there is a discount. NO CONTRACTS OR HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS!
How did you get started teaching?
Signed up for lessons with a friend and quickly fell in love with dancing. Within 6 months I was training to become an instructor and the rest is history!
What types of students have you worked with?
From 8 to 80, I've taught all ages and all levels of abilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I judge at a Special Ballroom Competition for Down syndrome dancers. The joy and fun that these dancers portray is so intoxicating. I look forward to this event every year.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a studio that doesn't require a contract. If they are good at what they do, you will continue with them. I have students that have been with me for 20 years because they like what I do and how I teach.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Experience, price, committment, and can I choose the dance I want.
