Hi! My name is Jarelys Zamora and I've been playing for about 16 years. I was about 8 years old when I \ was introduced to the violin and I've stuck by it ever since. With a Boston University master's in Music Education from Boston University, I am very passionate about music and teaching. My teaching style is not the usual because I exclusively like to teach based on the students and their learning styles. As a music educator, it is vital for me that students enjoy playing and learning as much as I would like for them to be! Communication is the most important thing to me. My passion for teaching has led me to enjoy teaching students in all levels - beginner to advanced. I began privately teaching pre-college students while pursuing my bachelors and masters at Juilliard. My collegiate-teaching career began during my doctorate studies at the University of South Carolina. With that being said, I am able to cater to whatever the students desire in their musical journey to make a lasting impact! I believe in a holistic student-led approach to teaching lessons - tailoring lessons to each student's individual needs, whether looser or more technical. Authenticity and individuality are crucial to building a musical life. I encourage my students to ask questions and help them use critical thinking to arrive at an answer. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience with a studio of students ranging from small children to adults. I hold a Bachelors of music from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Music from Baylor University.
