Hi! My name is Jarelys Zamora and I've been playing for about 16 years. I was about 8 years old when I \ was introduced to the violin and I've stuck by it ever since. With a Boston University master's in Music Education from Boston University, I am very passionate about music and teaching. My teaching style is not the usual because I exclusively like to teach based on the students and their learning styles. As a music educator, it is vital for me that students enjoy playing and learning as much as I would like for them to be! Communication is the most important thing to me. I like for the students to bring in music they'd like to play

I give students a full service. I teach violin technique, music interpretation, music theory, how to read music, and music history. I believe that students fully enjoy their playing if they are able to receive a complete musical education, and not only learning the notes. I am passionate about music and teaching. I really enjoy to communicate my knowledge and love to others, and to see them satisfied and happy.

I believe in a holistic student-led approach to teaching lessons - tailoring lessons to each student's individual needs, whether looser or more technical. Authenticity and individuality are crucial to building a musical life. I encourage my students to ask questions and help them use critical thinking to arrive at an answer. I have more than 10 years of teaching experience with a studio of students ranging from small children to adults. I hold a Bachelors of music from the University of Oklahoma and a Masters of Music from Baylor University. Hayley Raye Murks-Abdikadirova is a multi-instrumentalist and composer in the Greater Boston Area. She is one of Early Music America Magazine's 2020 Grant Recipients, and the 2013 recipient of STRINGS Magazine's Edith Eisler Award for Music Education. Currently employed at the Harvard Art Museums, Hayley is a senior member of the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra. She recieved her Undergraduate Performance Diploma and Master's of Music in Viola Performance from the Longy School of Music of Bard College.
