I am friendly, outgoing and I make art lessons fun! That being said art can be like therapy for a lot of people, almost like meditation. Not only can I teach drawing or painting classes, I can also teach introductory graphic design, photography, architecture and embroidery. I am very patient and have 10+ years of experience in almost every art medium and my work has been featured in magazines and the Museum of Fine Arts Boston!
I love helping people express themselves, find their own style and develope their skills. Also build up their creative confidence through practice and technique.
Jessie's art comes from a place of internal inspiration, joy and love. She has a style that is uniquely hers - you can always tell a piece of art was done by her. Her passion for art drives her to create unique and beautiful pieces. I have often seen her go back to keep improving on her pieces time and time again until they are exactly how she wants them. But she is also not afraid to scrap and project and start over if she is not fulfilling her vision. I had the pleasure of living with Jessie for 2 years, and during that time she would spend any amount of free time creating art in several mediums. Her passion for art inspired me (a very non-artistic person) to pick up a paint brush and try my hand. Jessie was always supportive of my work and showed me tips and tricks to improve what I already had in a very supporting and non-judgemental manner. Any student would be lucky to have a teacher as passionate and thoughtful as Jessie.
Jessie is not only super talented at creating works with artistic value, but is also an amazing human! She is so fun to work with and has so many great ideas she brings to the table. I highly recommend taking her class if given the opportunity - you won’t regret it!!
Jessie makes it a point to reach out and double check that all needs were met, if there were any questions, and how to help more in the future.
Jessie was an extremely patient and knowledgeable teacher. She cared immensely for my person interests in art and taught me a lot. I would highly recommend her as a teacher if you want to learn a lot, and have a peaceful, environment to do art in!
We discuss goals, subject matter they like, I ask if they are interested in learning about a certain era in art, or learning about famous artists and their styles. After we discuss what they would like out of the class I am then able to tailor lessons to them. I offer lower cost lessons because at this time I only offer online classes, and the student is responsible for acquiring their own supplies.
I have a bachelor's degree in media design and architecture. I also took 10 years of professional painting and drawing classes throught the Mfa in Boston.
