About
My teaching career spans 35 years. I have trained players that are complete beginners to PGA professionals... I've trained men and women, juniors and seniors, right handed and left handed players, recreational players, high school golf team players, college team players and professionals.
My specialty is working with "Junior Players" interested in competition. I have trained students that have played on the US Kids Tour, the Junior PGA Tour, High School Matches, the Challenge Cup, the AJGA, and the FCWT. One of my high school students was the #1 team player all 4 years. He attended Coastal Carolina and graduated the PGM program (Professional Golf Management) at the Coastal Carolina University and ultimately received his PGA membership. There were many proud moments where students became #1 players on their respective high school golf teams. One student in particular shot par at age 9, qualified for the US kids World Championships in Pinehurst, NC, qualified for the 31st Annual Publix Junior Golf Classic held at President's Trump's Doral Resort & Spa, Miami, FL, and was awarded the MIAA Player of the Year 2014, he also Medals in the State Qualifier, and finished in the top 5 in the State Tournament. Another student was the only female on the high school team, was awarded a $25K scholarship to New York University.
Please note: We are getting very close to high school golf team try-outs. (generally in August). So any player desiring to compete and try-out for the team and needs to sharpen their swing should get together with me as soon as possible. It will take a few lessons and some practice time to have you confident to ready to try-out and to be a competitive player. Don't be the player is 'cramming for the exam" last minute and expecting to do well... A good swing takes time to develop.
As the Player Development Coach for the Manchester Essex high school golf team I am proud to say the team won 3 league titles and finished 6th in a field 15 for the State Tournament. Some of my aspiring professionals have gone on to college golf teams some have past their Players Ability Test to qualify for PGA membership. I've worked with many adult and senior players some have competed and won their club championships.
For the past 16 years I have enhanced my training by utilizing high tech computer aided training systems which have been a boom to gaining proficiency in a short time... Launch Monitors, High Speed Video and Golf Simulators... These systems have helped players shorten their learning time with great results.
Many years ago I was told I needed "Tempo"... This put me on a path to find a method to capture this elusive entity... Luckily, I did find a way to harness this elusive entity, and you can find it in my book... "TEMPO...Heartbeat of the Golf Swing"... You will get copy with your first lesson or you can pick one on your own from Amazon.com books.
Whether beginner or professional, I will analyze your current situation, give you in simple terms, what you need to advance your golf skills. You will need to do some practice, but you knew that... It will take practice to gain the height of your happiness with your game. You will be amazed at how fast you will advance working with me and the high tech computer aided training systems like launch monitors which track ball flight data, course simulation which will enhance your on course skills and motion video that will hone your technical swing techniques to a high level.
