Please do not regard this as negative, but just the truth. If you are interested in lessons, please do not use Lesson.com. This website is just a tollbooth, charging teachers to get emails from potential students. They do this by paying Google to be up top on any search relating to lessons. And it all looks (and technically is) legit. But then instead of seeing the ACTUAL teachers' websites, you get this website. THE OWNERS OF THIS WEBSITE ARE NOT TEACHERS. They are business owners who found a way to take music teachers' money with out actually doing anything except withholding your email from
My lessons are extra special because I help students understand the whole universe of music, through the guitar, and I make it clear and fun.
All students already know everything about music. They know wrong notes and wrong rhythms when they hear them. Therefore, students actually know much more than they realize. As a teacher I help them understand what they know.
My approach mixes it up between playing, improvising, composing, song-writing, ear training, theory, copying, recording, singing, drumming, keyboarding, videotaping, notation, reading, chords, bass lines, perfor

My name is Nicholas Hummel and I am 23 years old. I graduated from Anna Maria College with a bachelors degree in Music Therapy. I love music as well as teaching and tutoring others in music. Because of my music therapy experiences I have become very well at adapting to different learning styles and working with people who have different levels of abilities. Though I am very focused when it comes to teaching, I also like to

Private Lessons at Sweet Music are not just learning tunes or playing scales. You get the whole picture and you learn the nitty gritty and in the end you find yourself playing and laughing and enjoying the experience...you come away with a feeling of accomplishing something, and that is a wonderful thing!
Private Lessons cover the complex history of the instrument, how to hold it properly, how to balance the pick and the instrument (mandolin), how to control the bow and play with a beautiful tone (violin). You will learn how to read music if you don't know already, and how to prioritize pra

I work with students of all ages and abilities, and strive to move students towards their personal goals as musicians, whether it's to play songs around the campfire, pass that Berklee audition, or anything in between.
