I'm an interpreter.
It's not uncommon that when learning something you have to understand it backwards to understand it forwards. Sometimes, you may not understand the significance of all of the pixels until you see the whole image. I get that. Because I did it too.
I learned Spanish from scratch, with the help of a great teacher from Havana, Cuba. He taught me everything about the language, starting with the alphabet, conjugations, verb tenses and then we got into the more advanced stuff - the nuances of the language, the minor details. I studied the structure and the history of the language. I mastered it. Mastering Spanish helped me understand my own native language, English, in ways I had never understood it. I became an interpreter and I taught English as a Second Language in the western highlands of Guatemala for a short time and now I am back in the US.
I love to bridge the gap between cultures through language.
