About

Because we love people and their desire to communicate, we build capacity in communication - especially language learning and enhancement. - Spanish, Portuguese and English. We focus on oral fluency in these foreign languages and on reading and writing at all levels.

The main idea is to be able to express one’s self in the language of your choice for everyday conversation and professional usage later on. I was schooled in MEXICO, BRAZIL and FRANCE. I am a professional conference interpreter with the United Nations family of organizations. I love languages, words and people! I love the ability to communicate with the mix of cultural intelligence.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University where I graduated with Honors in Languages and Linguistics and where I received my Interpretation degree, later on. I earned an MA from Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and relate well to people from all over the world.

With another graduate degree from Harvard, an MPA summa cum laude, I am confident I relate well to aspiring scholars and all people who enjoy learning as I do or who are struggling to perfect their performance. Building confidence in one’s ability goes hand in hand with enjoying learning.

I am there for motivated and even lack-luster learners because I believe in education as a human right. I believe in people and in helping to develop their potential in a serious yet, fun-filled way.

    Frequently asked questions

It is importunate to establish trust and confidence on both sides, thus hearing a student’s goals and objectives paves the way. Once we understand the outlook, a blueprint is established to reach the goals via very specific tailored objectives. There is no cookie cutter approach, but rather one that is personal.

My education began at Georgetown University with a BSC in Languages and Linguistics; followed by a degree in Economic development and comparative politics at Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies and, Harvard University with an MPA focusing on Economic development and NGO management.

I have been schooled in Mexico,Brazil, France and Switzerland; have travelled the world for work and am culturally sensitive and inclusive of differences, which I relish and see as assets.

My experience in language teaching started in Mexico and Brazil. I have worked in South America ( Brazil), Europe (Belgium; Italy) and travelled professionally extensively in Central Merida, the Middle East and a bit in Asia.

I usually price by the hour. For example $65-80/hour

I loves communication and,  people liked my style in Mexico and Brazil. I have always taught because I love sharing and am apparently good at it. I started because I like making contributions to people’s growth as well as to my own.

I have worked with professionals as well as students who were illiterate in their own mother tongue. I have worked with all ages, both male and female.

I taught military professionals English. I also enjoyed interpreting simulteaneously in both Portuguese and English for the Interamerican Defense College. The diversity of the student body from all over the southern and northern hemisphere is very interesting.

Look for dynamism, energy, passion, hands on perspective and professional experience.

Goals and objectives. The purpose of their learning programs. Usage. Market realities.
