What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I prefer to leave the technical/theoretical side of things on the back burner at the start and start learning songs right away! I feel this is crucial at the beginning to keep one's morale high and prevent boredom. Then when technicalities come into play they can be easily integrated with the skills already developed.
