Finding The Fairway
About
I am a highly reviewed Golf Instructor in the Charlotte area. I currently work with all ages and skill levels - from the beginning player to the accomplished college/aspiring tour professional. I believe each person has a great swing inside of them and it is my job to bring it out. There is no cookie cutter formula to playing good golf, but with the right instruction, anyone can play their best.

The greatest feeling in the world as an instructor is watching someone's face light up after a well struck shot. Once they feel it, a player begins to believe good golf is possible. Next they develop a little confidence and the good shots start to happen more and more frequently. Golf is the greatest test of a persons mind that I have ever known, and I love helping others in the pursuit of playing well. Take a look for yourself and lets start down the path to great golf.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When starting with a new studuent, the most important thing is to find out what their goals are and their experience level. Once we establish these things, we will work together to set up a program that is easy to follow, will show measurable results and help them reach their desired skill level. Most importantly, I will ensure that we have fun, since enjoyment and happiness always lead to better golf.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Certified through the US Golf Teachers Foundation as an instructor and coach. I have been involved in the game for over 4 decades and have been instructing others for more than 20 yrs. I have competed in collegiate as well as top tier amateur events.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
1 hr of range instruction is $60
9 hole and 18 hole playing lessons are also available. Playing lessons compromise the the physical swing, mental components as well as course management techniques.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked by a teammate in college to work with his swing to help him improve. After we began, his game improved significantly to the point where he qualified to be a member of the traveling squad (5 players) and maintained that position throughout his final years of school. I was blessed to have a great instructor as a child, and fortunately I learned the nuances of the swing and how to breakdown and simplify what for most is a very difficult game.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with all ages, all skill levels - Men, Women, Boys and Girls. I have players currently who are playing at NCAA Division 1 Universities all the way to a 40 yr old female beginner.
