About

I played college golf at Barton College from 2015-2019, where I worked my way from the #7 seed with a 78 stroke average to the #1 seed, MVP, and 2 time Academic All-American with a 72 stroke average. I played professionally for a year afterwards, and now I love to help others improve their games!

I spent time learning under PGA Tour coach George Gankas - one of the best golf coaches in the world (if you don't know who he is, look him up).

I love watching the joy students feel when they start to improve! I remember the satisfaction I felt as I improved as a player throughout high school, college & professionally - and it's fulfilling to help other golfers experience that same feeling. There is so much joy to be experienced in the game of golf, and I want to help others experience that joy!

After receiving payment for 3 lessons, Scott became super evasive and took more than a month to make time for the promised services. He would read and ignore messages to the point where I had to report him for fraud to my bank. Only after being investigated by Venmo and Lessons.com did he respond to my refund request. Granted, he most likely spent the money and was waiting for payday but Im mainly upset about the lack of communication and professionalism. My advice, dont waste you’re time or money…he is just a kid wayy over his head.

After looking at my swing one time, Scott knew what the issue was. Showed me the video and told me exactly what I was doing wrong. Showed me the correct takeaway, turn and follow through. After about 30 min I was hitting the ball great and feeling the correct swing path. Scott continued to work with me and told me what I should do in the future to practice and stay on the correct swing path. I will contact him in the future if I feel like I need a tune-up.

I’ve never had a lesson before, but Scott was great. He helped me understand my swing and showed on video things in my swing to work on, and why. Also, going to the range before and after getting lessons from Scott was night and day. Before, I was all over the place, and after lessons I could feel my swing was so much more consistent and I was hitting further too. I am now consistently hitting my 9i 150+, which is 15-20 yards further than before, and I’m now hitting it where I am trying to.

He is freaking awesome! Very calm and supportive which makes asking even the most stupid question feel okay. He is also a big cheerleader which really amps you up for the progress you make. I appreciate him being willing to accept progress updates as well. All around great person and easy to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Frequently asked questions

We'll talk through their goals as a golfer, I'll watch them hit some balls, chips, putts, then we'll put together a plan for improving based on their goals.

I worked under PGA Tour swing coach George Gankas, as well as Ben Hynson and Nam Padung...I learned how to coach from their teaching, as well as from my own experience as a player in high school, college, and professionally.

I charge $150/hour for instruction.

I taught at youth golf camps in Pinehurst, NC and Sea Island, GA during summers while I played in college.

I've worked with youths age 5-18 (of all skill levels), as well as adults of all skill levels.

Think about how good you want to be - set some specific goals for your handicap, stroke average, swing speed, whatever you want to improve!
