About
Hi! My name is Steven Botts, I recently moved to Alpharetta, GA from Charlotte, NC. I have been playing the game of golf since the age of 2 and never stopped. I graduated with a degree in Professional Golf Management in 2010 from an institute in Bluffton, SC. While I was going to school and working, I conducted clinics as well as one on one lessons with students, not only at my school, but individuals at different golf clubs in the area. I currently have a full time job and my own business away from golf, but I still love teaching and playing the game. If you have a desire to improve your game no matter what the reason. Whether it is to beat your friends in the weekly Saturday morning game or competing at a higher caliber, I feel confident I can help in all aspects of your game. I do travel to the player, at their club or a mutual course/range. I am not hired by a golf course or practice facility, only myself. All I ask for is a chance and a little bit of your time. See you on the course!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For me, getting to know the student and learning what their individual goals are. That is key to knowing where the student and myself are going to go in the future. First lessons consist of personal goals and small drills as an insite to what comes next.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Professional Golf Management and I have spent a lot of time with individuals of all ages and abilities.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For a 30 minutes private session...$50
One hour private session...$70
Playing Lessons...price varies (contact for pricing).
How did you get started teaching?
My teaching started to take off in mid 2010 while in school. We as a class would go out to golf courses and hold clinics for anyone interested. It was a great oportunity to test the waters of how I would manage being able to give advice to all ages.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all types of students. Individuals that play collegiate golf and compete in amature tournaments to people who play once every month or every other month with their friends. I work well with all levels of the game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Every person is going to be different in teaching methods. My advice would be to seek out an individual that will improve on what you have instead of building mechanical perfection. It is much easier and more satisfying playing and learning to your natural abilities.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
"What is my budget?"
"What is my availability?"
"What aspect of the game do I WANT to improve?"
